MATTHEW FORD, ALAN OWENS & THE FORUM BIG BAND

Finally after an 8 year wait, Alan is very pleased to announce that Matt Ford will be back at the Forum to perform with the Forum Big Band in a night of outstanding Swing Era Music.

Matt is the UK’s most experienced and in-demand Swing Era vocalist. A veteran of over 2000 Big Band concerts, with the likes of The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, BBC Big Band, Len Philips Swing Orchestra and John Wilson Orchestra, Matt’s career spans four decades, and shows no sign of slowing down.

Matt has featured in four BBC Proms concerts (2011, 2013, 2016 & 2019), with live broadcasts of these on BBC Two, BBC Four and BBC Radio 3.  Other TV and radio credits include; Friday Night is Music Night (tributes to Irving Berlin, The Gershwins, Alan J Lerner & Gene Kelly), BBC Big Band Special (30th Anniversary Special), SKY Arts 1 & 2 (Cole Porter in Hollywood & 100 Years of Big Bands), BBC Four (The Sound of Song), BBC One (The One Show), ITV (Titchmarsh) and BBC Radio 3 (In Tune).

As a recording artist, 2022 saw Matt release ‘From Abbey Road’, a live Big Band album recorded at the iconic London venue’s Studio 2.  The single release from the album, ‘I Wanna Be Like You’, not only reached #1 in the iTunes Jazz Chart, but placed in the Official UK Singles Chart Top 40.

In 2024 Matt launched his new, intimate, Cole Porter Songbook show, (performing in theatres and Arts Centres throughout the UK), appeared once again with the Halle and RTE CO (Movies & Musicals), revisited the US (Broadway Sings! with the OPAS Symphony Orchestra) and became a regular performer at Annabel’s in Mayfair.

Manford’s Comedy Club are back in 2026 to host the award-winning comedy club at the Forum! They will be returning in April, September and November 2026 with fantastic new line ups to be confirmed soon!

Manford’s Comedy Club was launched by comedian Jason Manford. The idea was to bring comedians from the UK circuit to small towns and cities across the country for a night of live comedy.

Every show has a different line-up of four top comedians, who are all personally chosen by Jason Manford.

A TRIBUTE TO STING AND THE POLICE STARRING THE ROZZERS

Fronted by Sting look and sound-a-like Owen James and his band ‘The Rozzers’, ‘A Tribute to Sting & The Police’ is the most authentic Sting tribute in Europe.

The band have performed all over the world for several years and now embark on their biggest ever UK tour.

The Police were arguably the biggest band on the planet between 1977 and 1983, achieving 5 number one hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Sting then went on to be one of most acclaimed solo songwriters of his generation.

Fleeting Rumours are the North’s premier Tribute band to Fleetwood Mac. Getting that special blend of vocals, guitars, keyboards and drums to an exceptional level of authenticity.

Every member of the six piece band are seasoned musicians and singers renowned in their own field.

Fleeting Rumours cover all decades of Fleetwood Mac’s back catalogue. Including the early years with Peter Green performing songs like “Black Magic woman” and “Oh Well”.

The performance is based around the songs from the album Rumours but the band also play hits from Stevie Nicks solo career, before moving on to songs like “Sweet Little Lies” and “Everywhere" from Tango in the night.

Fleetwood Mac are one of the biggest bands in the world and the Rumours album selling over 100 Million copies worldwide. Fleeting Rumours focus on bringing the history of the hits to the performance and show “Big Love” and authenticity to Fleetwood Mac.

SIMON YATES OF TOUCHING THE VOID - MY MOUNTAIN LIFE

A fascinating and humorous evening, acclaimed by both regular theatre patrons and outdoor enthusiasts alike!

On the remote Siula Grande in Peru in June 1985, mountaineer Simon Yates found himself in a desperately unenviable position. He was slowly being pulled off the mountain face by his injured partner, Joe Simpson, dangling on the rope 50 metres below. His decision to cut the rope saved both their lives in the epic of survival that followed and with the publication of the book ‘Touching The Void’, later film and stage play, both climbers became household names.

It was an experience that could have put many off the sport of mountaineering - but not Simon. Over 35 years later, he is still a very active exploratory climber and guide, making several expeditions to the mountains each year. From the Arctic to the Antarctic, Alaska to Central Asia there is hardly a significant range that he has not visited.

Come along and witness Simon’s tireless journey from that mountain in Peru to some of the remotest on the planet and share with him the drama, excitement and beauty of modern, lightweight alpinism. Told with wit, dry humour and lavishly illustrated with images and film collected on his great climbs.

After a successful first year, we're back and excited to bring some of the best Independent breweries to  Northallerton to join us for the next edition! We had a fantastic time in 2025 and cant wait to welcome you back for what is going to be an even bigger and better event and this year we're hugely excited to be moving the festival to The Forum - it's going to be epic!

As the only brewery in Northallerton we have championed great independent beer from the start and have pushed to mark the town as a beer destination for all, this festival is key to that plan and we look forward to you joining us in 2026!

Elvis was Johnny’s very first inspiration. As a small boy Johnny would passionately watch all of Elvis’s movies and listen to his songs and from the age of three was singing and dancing to entertain his family. As a result of that home grown musical talent Johnny has travelled far and wide, and continues to entertain people the world over.

Paying homage to the king since 2004, he is absolutely one of the best Elvis Tribute Artists in the business. His craft has led him to work in countries such as Canada, USA, China, Australia, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Germany, and of course the Mecca for all Elvis Tribute Artists, Memphis Tennessee where he performed directly across from Graceland.

His career has also introduced him to people who knew Elvis personally. They had the following to say about his performance:
