Piece of Work – James Rowland

Piece of Work – James Rowland (13+)

Attic Theatre presents James Rowland

Piece of Work

James has been touring his storytelling theatre shows for half his adult life. This tour was different though. Returning home after his first stint away, he received a letter that exploded his life, and the tour became a search: for the person who sent it, for a sense of where he comes from, and to maybe save a life.

Featuring James’ captivating mix of comedy, music and story, (as well as Shakespeare’s Hamlet), this show follows James’ critically acclaimed, sell out shows Learning to Fly and Songs of Friendship trilogy. Hilarious and heart rending, PIECE OF WORK is about the hope that makes our lives liveable.

‘One tries not to write that the Master Storyteller is back, but the Master Storyteller is back!… He has an innate ability to hold an audience…beautifully told, ringing with authenticity.’ ***** Britishtheatre.com

‘ He is a master at building tension and then breaking it with a warm smile’ **** Broadway World

‘Rowland delivers it all deftly, balancing light and dark, mirth and melancholy’ **** The Stage
